When I started this project I had a few hopes it might cone to fruition by the summer, now it might take longer- however, some small progress at last! I have learned how to paint pewter miniatures. The discworld will start to take shape, in between bouts of replumbing the house.
Railway progress
Dec. 19th, 2021 10:35 pmWell, I’ve been at work haven’t I? However, its beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so I can get sone modelling done. The base board for the university is ready, complete with the river (though shallow) Ankh slicing past. I’ve amassed a wide range if 15mm and 28mm figures, mostly metal but some plastic. The Aedes Ars kits are providing a challenge but will look great across the board. I brought the unseen university model kit twice and will be using the spare as a frame to build the bricks around. The static grass applicator looks like a manly parts pumper, but I’m sure it will do the job once i decide to choose a material fir the soil, sculptamold is rough and ready, but is lightweight, so benefits there. My biggest problem is space. I think I can stretch from Ankh to St Helit, with a line running through the dwarven hills and the chalk. Will update when it gets on a bit.
I really enjoyed ‘The Watch’. It needed more backup by the BBC, the cast were cracking - more Sally please! I am putting together a model railway of Ankh to Djelibebe, this us harder than first imagined but it developing steadily. I will post images as I try and fail and try again. This will be OO gauge. Stay tuned.
